Job summary

The Ar-Ruwais Library is seeking a Senior Librarian to lead daily operations, overseeing cataloguing, collection development and user services to ensure accessible, high-quality library programs for the community.

The role requires a Master’s in Library Science, at least five years in a supervisory library role, and strong leadership, communication and technological adaptability to drive modern library services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role at a public or academic library.
• Extensive knowledge of cataloguing systems, collection development principles, and information retrieval methods.
• Strong leadership and the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse groups.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and implement them effectively.
