Candidates should have at least 2 years of shipyards or heavy fabrication experience, ITI or trade apprenticeship, and the ability to read engineering drawings and perform precise measurements.

Qualifications

• ITI or trade apprenticeship completed; shipyard fabrication experience preferred.
• Experience in CNC machining in shipbuilding or offshore structures.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and measure with precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently for shipbuilding and heavy fabrication requirements.
• Set up CNC machines per job specifications, drawings, and machining requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining instructions.
• Monitor machining operations and make appropriate machine adjustments to maintain accuracy.
• Inspect completed components using appropriate precision measuring instruments.
• Perform routine machine checks and identify operating abnormalities or tooling issues.
• Maintain accurate production and machining records as required.
• Follow workplace safety, quality, and operational procedures in the fabrication environment.
