Job summary

Sisco Jobs is recruiting for a Quality Controller – Piping Department in Qatar. The role requires a CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector with hands-on experience in quality control and NDT inspection of pipes and pipe welds.

Candidates should have 2 years of relevant experience in shipyard, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments and a diploma or higher in Pipe Fabrication. CSWIP 3.1 Inspector qualification is a must.

Qualifications

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection expertise required.
• Experience inspecting piping fabrication and welded joints.
• Knowledge of NDT inspection related to pipes and welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on piping fabrication and welding activities.
• Inspect pipe and pipe welds to verify compliance with applicable quality requirements and approved procedures.
• Conduct visual welding inspections and identify welding defects or non-conformities.
• Coordinate and review NDT inspection activities associated with piping and welded joints.
• Verify piping fabrication work against drawings, specifications, and approved welding procedures.
• Monitor welding activities and ensure required quality standards are maintained throughout fabrication.
• Maintain inspection records, quality documentation, and reports for completed piping activities.
• Coordinate with fabrication, welding, and quality teams to resolve identified quality issues.

The role requires a qualified CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector with practical experience in quality control and NDT inspection of pipes and pipe welds.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections on piping fabrication and welding activities.
  
• Inspect pipe and pipe welds to verify compliance with applicable quality requirements and approved procedures.
  
• Conduct visual welding inspections and identify welding defects or non-conformities.
  
• Coordinate and review NDT inspection activities associated with piping and welded joints.
  
• Verify piping fabrication work against drawings, specifications, and approved welding procedures.
  
• Monitor welding activities and ensure required quality standards are maintained throughout fabrication.

Required Skills

• CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspection — Must be a qualified CSWIP 3.1 inspector with knowledge of welding inspection practices.

• NDT Inspection — Experience with NDT inspection activities relating to pipes and welds.
  
• Quality Control — Ability to monitor piping work and identify quality deviations and non-conformities.
  
• Pipe Fabrication — Technical understanding of pipe fabrication processes and associated inspection requirements.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in shipyard piping projects.
  
• Exposure to oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  
• Strong knowledge of welding defects and inspection documentation.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Candidates must have 2 years of relevant working experience. Experience should include Quality Control and/or NDT inspections of pipes and pipe welds within the shipyard, oil & gas, or petrochemical industry.

Education

• Minimum: Diploma or NCTV / ITC in Pipe Fabrication
