Job summary

ISS International SpA is seeking a highly motivated Civil Supervisor to join our client in the fertilizer industry based in Qatar. You will provide on-site supervision and ensure compliance with HSE and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 10+ years’ civil experience in oil/gas or fertiliser sectors, including at least 3 years in a supervisor role. Strong coordination with engineers and contractors is essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of civil experience in oil/gas, petrochemical or fertiliser industries.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Be fully aware of the Client HSE requirements and ensure compliance.
• Direct and provide on-site supervision of contractor activities.
• Ensure contract requirements are implemented and report deviations.
• Lead safety walks, report and investigate accidents.
• Ensure works comply with quality requirements and drawings.
• Supervise civil maintenance and assist the Structural Engineer.
• Review and approve Work Method Statements with Engineer.
• Follow up maintenance activities to ensure conformance to WMS and drawings.
• Maintain accurate maintenance history and closeout reports.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors on safety and quality.

Job description

ISS International SpA is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Supervisor to join our client in the fertilizer Industry based in Qatar

Primary Responsibilities :

• Be fully aware of the Client HSE requirements
• Ensure that all activities and works in responsibility are done in full compliance with the HSE requirements of Client and the relevant Authorities
• Directs and provide close onsite supervision of all jobs being performed by the contractors in the assigned area within Client facilities.
• Ensure implementation of the Client Contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation through the line responsible
• Actively contribute to safety walks, reporting of accidents and investigation of accidents
• Ensure that the works are being done in accordance with the Quality requirements
• Supervise the site Civil maintenance activities and assist the Structural Engineer in the same
• Assist the Structural Engineer in reviewing and approving Work Method Statements
• Follow up site civil maintenance activities to confirm compliance with Work Method Statements and Construction Drawings
• Provides accurate maintenance history and closeout reports; maintains a log of all completed / ongoing work as per company requirements.
• Follow up Contractor and Subcontractors during execution to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work.
• Follow up Contractor and Subcontractors about interpretation and proper implementation of the technical content of the Contract documents
• Supports other disciplines related to civil works.
• Attend site inspections and verify correctness of the same
• Ability to understand technical & maintenance problems and develop a structured work pack, plan, and execution
• Good knowledge in concrete rehabilitation works, maintenance of marine structures including Jetties and civil maintenance works in process plant.
• Recognition of defects & anomalies which represent a serious threat to safety/integrity of structures and timely/appropriate communication, notification to Company engineers, line management as appropriate.
• Identify, report, and follow up risks within own area of responsibility
• Review, evaluation and interpretation of inspection findings, defects, and repairs.

Qualification :

• Advanced Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University
• 10 +years direct and relevant experience related to Civil discipline in oil/gas or petrochemical or
• fertiliser industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisor role
