Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Pool Lifeguard at a Qatar site. The role focuses on ensuring the safety and well‑being of pool users in line with safety procedures, enforcing rules, and performing rescues and first aid when necessary.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of lifeguard experience in international settings, English fluency, and certifications in swimming rescue, first aid, CPR, and awareness training. The position requires monitoring, crowd control, and collaboration with QAFCO

Qualifications

• Secondary school pass and fluency in English.
• Three (3) years of experience as a lifeguard in an international hotel, recreational club, or hospitality industry.
• Course certificate in swimming/emergency rescue, first aid and CPR.
• Pool and Beach Lifeguard awareness training certificate.

Responsibilities

• Always monitor the swimming‑pool users.
• Ensure children use the pool safely and in accordance with the swimming‑pool rules.
• Check housekeeping and ensure the surrounding areas (toilets, pool‑deck benches) are sanitized after every use in coordination with housekeeping.
• Communicate with swimmers regarding improper/unsafe activities and enforce swimming‑pool rules and water safety.
• Maintain a high standard of behavior among pool users, follow up on unsafe behavior with pastoral care, and report to parents if necessary.
• Administer first aid in case of injury, rescue swimmers in distress or risk of drowning, and perform CPR.
• Manage crowd control.
• Perform any other tasks as instructed by the QAFCO representative.
• Check that vacuum‑suction covers are closed for safety on a day‑to‑day basis.
