Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood or other materials.
• Construct frameworks including walls, floors and doorframes.
• Install finished products such as windowsills or staircases.
• Calculate material dimensions and requirements accurately.
• Maintain tools in good condition by cleaning and lubricating them on a regular basis.
• Inspect places where the repairs should be done to ensure safety standards are met.
