Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
• Construct frameworks including walls, floor joists, and doorframes using wood, steel, fiberglass or drywall.
• Assemble furniture such as tables, chairs, beds and bookcases with nails or screws and dowels by hand or with a power drill.
• Fabricate parts such as shelves or bases to fit installations.
• Install trim items such as moldings or edgings on furniture or fixtures.
• Finish surfaces of woodwork with sealers or varnishes using brushes or spray guns.
• Operate power tools such as saws, sanders and drills when required for construction projects.
