Job summary

Saipem, a global leader in energy and infrastructure projects, seeks a Service Buyer in Doha, Qatar. You will purchase goods and services, issue RFQs, and support vendors during bid prep to meet time, cost and quality targets.

You will lead negotiations, prepare purchase orders or subcontracts, review technical documentation with requisitions, and close bid processes while adhering to corporate policies. English fluency and SAP/MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Procurement background with 10 years of experience.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency with MS Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods and services/subcontracts to meet cost/time/quality targets.
• Issue RFQs to vendors based on purchasing requests.
• Support vendors during preparation of technical/commercial proposals.
• Prepare bid tabulations to compare proposals and suggest actions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and prepare POs or subcontracts.
• Close out bid processes and manage PO revisions.

Purpose of the position: Service Buyer

Responsibilities:

• Carry out all the activities necessary to purchase goods and/or services/subcontracts, in compliance with given cost/time/quality requirements and corporate policies.
• Issue to vendors the Request for Quotation based on given purchasing request.
• Support vendors during preparation of technical/commercial proposals with confidentiality.
• Prepare commercial/economic bid tabulations to compare different proposals and suggest actions.
• Lead commercial/economic negotiations and prepare purchase orders or subcontracts.
• Close out bid process, inform unsuccessful vendors, and manage purchase order revisions.
• Check and comment on technical documentation received with Purchase Requisitions.

Education & Experience:

• Procurement background with 10 years of experience.
• English is a must.
• Professional knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
