Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking an accomplished in-house General Counsel to lead all legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions. You will advise on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic deals, and you will draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts to protect the company’s interests.

The role requires 15+ years in corporate legal roles, strong leadership, bilingual Arabic and English, and current Qatar-based residency.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in corporate legal roles.
• Strong expertise in M&A, corporate law, and compliance.
• Experience as General Counsel / Head of Legal / Law Firm Partner.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong stakeholder management and business acumen.
• Currently based in Qatar (mandatory).
• Bilingual (Arabic & English) required.

Responsibilities

• Lead all legal, compliance, and corporate governance functions.
• Advise on M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic deals.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
• Manage legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee external legal counsel and litigation matters.
• Develop internal legal policies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Lead and mentor the in-house legal team.
