Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) seeks a skilled bartender for our Qatar venue to craft a wide range of beverages and deliver exceptional guest service. You will greet guests, take orders, mix drinks, and maintain a welcoming bar atmosphere.

You will keep stock, manage cash transactions, comply with local alcohol laws, and work with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and high standards.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ingredients, flavors and accurate mixing techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patrons, take orders, and provide recommendations.
• Knowledge of local alcohol service laws, age verification, and responsible service practices to ensure compliance.
• Meticulous attention to detail to measure ingredients, garnish drinks, and keep the bar clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and specialty drinks, following recipes or creating unique concoctions.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons, taking drink orders, and engaging with customers professionally.
• Understand types of alcohol, liqueurs, mixers, and garnishes to recommend drinks by preference.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked; restock inventory as needed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and reconcile cash register at shift end.
• Adhere to alcohol service regulations, including checking IDs and refusing service to intoxicated patrons.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock needs replenishment.
• Perform routine maintenance like cleaning lines, changing kegs, and troubleshooting equipment.
• Encourage upselling by promoting specials, new drinks, or premium beverages to boost sales.
• Collaborate with bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to coordinate orders and maintain service standards.

The Bartender crafts and serves a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines, while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. Job Responsibilities 1

Provide excellent customer service by greeting patrons, taking drink orders, and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of various types of alcohol, liqueurs, mixers, and garnishes, as well as the ability to recommend drinks based on customer preferences.

Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and restocking inventory as needed.

Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments, giving change, and reconciling cash register at the end of the shift.

Adhere to local alcohol service regulations, including checking identification to verify legal drinking age and refusing service to intoxicated patrons.

Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, and supplies, and notify management when stock needs to be replenished to ensure smooth operations.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning tap lines, changing kegs, and troubleshooting equipment issues, to ensure the bar operates efficiently.

Encourage upselling by promoting specials, new drinks, or premium beverages to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Work collaboratively with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to coordinate orders, maintain service standards, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Job Knowledge & Skills
