Liverpool John Moores University | Oryx University, Doha, Qatar is seeking a friendly barista to join its campus café team. You will prepare espresso-based drinks, greet customers, and handle orders with accuracy while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience as a barista or in a cafe/hospitality setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and basic latte art.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good command of English; Arabic will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, teas, and cold beverages to the café’s quality standards.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments through the point-of-sale system.
• Operate, clean, and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other cafe equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area in line with Qatar Ministry of Public Health food safety regulations.
• Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and supplies, and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reconciliation.
• Support the preparation of light snacks, pastries, and sandwiches when required.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Contribute to special events, exhibitions, and university functions held on campus
