Job summary

TMC Middle East is seeking a senior Back Office Operations Subject Matter Expert to join a leading financial institution in Doha, Qatar. This role focuses on process excellence, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation within core back-office functions.

You will own end-to-end domains such as payments, trade finance, and reconciliations, drive straight-through processing via RPA, author BRDs, support UAT, and coordinate with IT and vendors.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in banking operations, with at least 3 years in a process lead, SME, or process improvement capacity.
• Hands-on experience with major core banking platforms such as Temenos T24, Oracle Flexcube, Finacle, iMAL, or Path Solutions ETHIX.
• Working knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards including MT/MX and ISO 20022.
• Ability to produce process maps (Visio, BPMN) and formal business analysis artifacts including BRDs and UAT plans.
• Islamic or GCC banking background and relevant certifications (CIPA, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, CAMS) are a strong advantage.
• Onsite in Doha; notice period expectations as described by the posting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end back-office domains including payments, trade finance, treasury settlements, and reconciliations, designing improved workflows and driving straight-through processing via RPA and automation.
• Represent Operations in core banking migration and digital transformation projects, authoring BRDs, supporting UAT, and coordinating with IT and vendors.
• Ensure adherence to QCB regulations, AML/KYC requirements, AAOIFI standards for Islamic products, and internal control frameworks including maker-checker governance.
• Define and track KPIs and SLAs, and develop and maintain SOPs, process manuals, and desk procedures.
• Coach operations staff and serve as the senior escalation point for complex exceptions and cross-functional issues.

This role is strictly Onsite in Doha.
