Job summary

TMC Middle East is seeking a senior Back Office Operations Subject Matter Expert to join a leading financial institution in Doha, Qatar. You will own end-to-end back-office domains, drive automation, and ensure compliance with QCB and Islamic banking standards.

The ideal candidate has 8–12+ years in banking operations, with at least 3 years in a lead/SME role, and hands-on experience with major core banking platforms and SWIFT messaging standards. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in banking operations.
• At least 3 years in a process lead, SME, or process improvement capacity.
• Experience with core banking platforms (Temenos T24, Oracle Flexcube, Finacle, iMAL or Path Solutions ETHIX) and SWIFT messaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end back-office domains including payments, trade finance, and reconciliations; drive workflow improvements and automation.
• Represent Operations in banking migration and digital transformation projects, author BRDs, support UAT, coordinate with IT and vendors.
• Define and track KPIs and SLAs; develop SOPs, manuals, and desk procedures.

• Own end-to-end back-office domains including payments, trade finance, treasury settlements, and reconciliations, designing improved workflows and driving straight-through processing via RPA and automation
• Represent Operations in core banking migration and digital transformation projects, authoring BRDs, supporting UAT, and coordinating with IT and vendors
• Ensure adherence to QCB regulations, AML/KYC requirements, AAOIFI standards for Islamic products, and internal control frameworks including maker-checker governance
• Define and track KPIs and SLAs, and develop and maintain SOPs, process manuals, and desk procedures
• Coach operations staff and serve as the senior escalation point for complex exceptions and cross-functional issues
• 8–12+ years in banking operations, with at least 3 years in a process lead, SME, or process improvement capacity
• Hands-on experience with a major core banking platform such as Temenos T24, Oracle Flexcube, Finacle, iMAL, or Path Solutions ETHIX
• Working knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards including MT/MX and ISO 20022
• Ability to produce process maps (Visio, BPMN) and formal business analysis artifacts including BRDs and UAT plans
• Islamic or GCC banking background and relevant certifications (CIPA, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, CAMS) are a strong advantage
