Job summary

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for an established technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. The AV Consultant will lead the design, specification, and integration of large-scale AV systems for stadiums, arenas, campuses, and public venues.

You will develop documentation, perform acoustic modeling, design IP-networked AV systems, and coordinate with engineers, vendors, and operators to ensure scalable, reliable deployments that meet international standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional AV consulting and design experience.
• Strong background in LED video display systems, giant scoreboards, videowalls, and timing & scoring solution design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of audio, video, and control systems for large venues, stadiums, arenas, and multipurpose facilities.
• Develop technical documentation, including schematics, signal flow diagrams, loudspeaker layouts, LED positioning, and network diagrams.
• Perform acoustic modeling using EASE and Soundvision to ensure optimal coverage, intelligibility, and system performance.
• Design and integrate giant LED screens, scoreboards, ribbon boards, and control room display systems.
• Develop and integrate timing & scoring solutions with AV systems, displays, and broadcast networks.
• Design IP-networked AV systems, including audio-over-IP, video-over-IP, and control systems integrated with IT infrastructure.
• Ensure system designs meet requirements for scalability, redundancy, reliability, and lifecycle management.

Our client is seeking an experienced Audio-Visual (AV) Consultant to lead thedesign, specification, and integration of large-scale AV systems for stadiums, arenas, corporatecampuses, and public venues. This role is critical in delivering scalable, reliable, and networked AVsolutions that meet international standards while providing a world-class experience forspectators, performers, and operators.

Key Responsibilities

AV Systems Design & Consultation

• - Lead the design and specification of audio, video, and control systems for large venues,stadiums, arenas, and multipurpose facilities.
• - Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including schematics, signal flowdiagrams, loudspeaker layouts, LED positioning, and network diagrams.
• - Perform acoustic modeling using EASE and Soundvision to ensure optimal coverage,intelligibility, and system performance.
• - Design and integrate giant LED screens, scoreboards, ribbon boards, and control roomdisplay systems.
• - Develop and integrate timing & scoring solutions with AV systems, displays, andbroadcast networks.
• - Design IP-networked AV systems, including audio-over-IP, video-over-IP, and controlsystems integrated with IT infrastructure.
• - Ensure system designs meet requirements for scalability, redundancy, reliability, andlifecycle management.

Project Management & Coordination

• - Coordinate with engineers, IT teams, and venue operators to ensure compliance withtechnical, operational, and budget requirements.
• - Manage site surveys, commissioning, tuning, and final verification of AV systems.
• - Oversee performance validation for acoustic, video, and networked AV solutions.
• - Collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, and system integrators to achieve design intentand project objectives.

Requirements

Experience

• - Minimum 10 years of professional AV consulting and design experience.
• - Strong background in LED video display systems, giant scoreboards, videowalls, andtiming & scoring solution designEducation
• - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Audio Engineering, or a relateddiscipline (or equivalent professional experience).

Certifications (Preferred)

• - AVIXA Certifications: CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I
• - Dante Level 3 Certification
• - Manufacturer certifications such as L-Acoustics, Bosch, Bose, Meyer Sound, Daktronics,Infiled, Novastar, Q-SYS, Extron, or equivalent

Technical Skills

• - Advanced expertise in EASE / Soundvision acoustic modeling.
• - Strong knowledge of IP networking for AV systems, including configuration, routing, andIT integration.
• - Excellent technical documentation, presentation, and client communication skills.
• - Solid understanding of project lifecycle management for large-scale AV deployments.
