Job summary

Aspetar Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Qatar is seeking a physiology specialist to conduct laboratory and field assessments for rehabilitating athletes and other clients, and to manage the altitude rooms delivering physiology support.

You will calibrate and operate testing equipment, review patients’ medical histories, design individualized exercise prescriptions, and collaborate with researchers to advance performance and injury prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiology.
• Master’s or PhD in Sports Science / Human Movement / Biological Sciences / Physical Education / Kinesiology (or equivalent).
• Adequate certifications in Physiology.
• Fulfil all Physiology Licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Provide physiology testing for elite athletes and sports clients.
• Manage altitude rooms and deliver physiology support to users.
• Review medical histories and reconcile medications for visitors.
• Assess appropriateness of symptom-limited and maximal exercise testing.
• Collaborate with researchers on relevant projects.
