Job summary

Malomatia in Qatar is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to ensure quality across applications. You will design and execute manual test cases, validate functionality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve defects.

The role requires 5+ years in software testing, knowledge of bug tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla), API testing with Postman, basic SQL, and familiarity with SDLC/STLC, cross-browser and mobile testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/ Computer Engineering/Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software testing

• Ensure products or systems meet defined quality standards and requirements.
• Perform regular inspections and execute test cases to validate functionality and performance.
• Identify, document, and track defects to ensure proper resolution.
• Support the development and maintenance of quality control processes and procedures.
• 5Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues effectively.
• Verify fixes and conduct regression testing to confirm issue resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of test results, defects, and quality metrics.
• Assist in improving testing strategies and quality assurance practices.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Participate in requirement reviews to ensure testability and clarity.
• Report quality status and provide feedback to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Technical Skills:

• 5+ year of experience in Software testing, or a related field.
• Experience in test Case Design & Execution – Writing and executing manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Knowledge Bug Tracking Tools – Experience with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Bugzilla.
• Experience Software Testing Types – Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Experience API Testing – Using tools like Postman or REST clients to validate APIs.
• Experience Database Testing – Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and queries.
• Automation Testing (basic to intermediate) .
• Test Management Tools – Experience with tools like, Zephyr,
• Understanding of SDLC & STLC – Knowledge of Software Development and Testing Life Cycles.
• Cross-Browser & Cross-Platform Testing – Testing across different devices, OS, and browsers.
• Mobile Testing – Experience with Android/iOS testing (manual or using tools).
