Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an Architect in Doha, Qatar, to support the Senior Architect in delivering complex architectural projects. You will coordinate design interfaces across disciplines, ensure compliance with QCS and NFPA codes, and manage design submissions and client reviews.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, at least eight years of multidisciplinary coordination experience, and a valid Qatar MMUP Grade A.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural coordination or multidisciplinary project environments.
• A valid Qatar MMUP Grade A in Architecture is required; MMUP card evidence to be provided with the CV.
• Experience in design and construction of major projects, including residential and industrial buildings.
• Knowledge of Qatar civil codes (QCS, Civil Defence, NFPA standards); English fluency required; Arabic an asset.
• Able to coordinate with civil, MEP, ICT, and other disciplines; proficient in BIM, Revit, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Architect in day-to-day coordination of design activities and deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between architecture and other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated design packages.
• Track progress of design submissions, responses and approvals to meet schedules.
• Review inputs from disciplines before client submissions for completeness and consistency.
• Participate in coordination meetings and document key decisions and actions.

Context

As an Architect, you will play a key coordination role within the project team, supporting the Senior Architect in the delivery of complex architectural project. Your primary focus will be on managing design interfaces, ensuring consistency across disciplines, and facilitating communication between internal teams, clients, and external consultants. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of architectural and engineering processes.

Missions/Main Duties

• Support the Senior Architect in day-to-day coordination of design activities and deliverables.
• Act as a liaison between architecture and other disciplines (structural, MEP, civil, and systems) to ensure fully coordinated design packages.
• Track the progress of design submissions, responses, and approvals, ensuring timely delivery in line with project schedules.
• Review and compile inputs from various disciplines before client submissions to verify completeness and consistency.
• Participate in coordination and technical meetings, documenting key decisions and following up on required actions.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and design review materials for client.
• Support in managing comments tracking (e.g., DRS), and documentation control related to architecture.
• Ensure that design outputs comply with project standards, codes, and authority requirements.
• Maintain accurate tracking of architectural and multidisciplinary deliverables.
• Ensure coordination issues are identified early and resolved collaboratively.
• Provide consistent communication and reporting to the Senior Architect and Project Manager.
• Contribute to maintaining the quality and efficiency of design submissions.
• Support cross-team collaboration to achieve integrated project delivery.

Profile/Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

Background

• Language: Full proficiency in English required; proficiency in Arabic is an asset
