Job summary

Employment in Doha, Qatar seeks an AMI Systems Specialist to support Advanced Metering Infrastructure operations, ensuring reliable communication, data integrity, and system availability between field meters and central systems.

You will monitor and manage AMI environments including HES and MDM, analyze performance data, and coordinate with IT and field teams to implement updates while maintaining security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, IT or related field.
• 4+ years in AMI system monitoring, MDM/HES operations, or similar utility environment.
• Strong knowledge of smart metering technologies, AMI protocols, and network troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills; good communication and teamwork.
• Proficient in English (Arabic preferred).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage AMI systems including HES, MDM, and communication networks.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve AMI issues related to connectivity, data flow, and performance; escalate complex issues to vendors or higher support levels as required
• Analyze AMI operational data and generate system performance reports; maintain system logs, incident records, and documentation
• Coordinate with IT, metering, telecom, and field teams to ensure system reliability and support configuration updates and minor enhancements
• Ensure compliance with ISO, ISMS, BCMS, and cybersecurity policies; adhere to corporate HSE and operational procedures

• Analyze AMI operational data and generate system performance reports; maintain system logs, incident records, and documentation
• Coordinate with IT, metering, telecom, and field teams to ensure system reliability and support configuration updates and minor enhancements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline
• Minimum 4 years of experience in AMI system monitoring, MDM/HES operations, or similar utility environments
• Strong knowledge of smart metering technologies, AMI communication protocols, and network troubleshooting
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills; good communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficient in English (Arabic is preferred)
