Job summary

Intrepid Global Solutions seeks an Alternate Manager DFAC to oversee all food service operations across DFACs, coordinate with the COTR and Menu Advisory Board for menus, and ensure meals follow AFCENT Production Logs.

You will lead US and local staff, manage procurement and budgets, supervise catering for events, and ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance in a demanding, deployed environment in Qatar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food management or five years of military food service in lieu of management experience.
• Three years of food services experience in the past ten years.
• At least three years supervisory experience at unit manager or assistant manager level in cafeteria-style operations with full meal services (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
• Minimum five years progressively responsible life support operational management in large facilities (500+ persons).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all DFAC food operations and procurement planning.
• Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance.
• Coordinate with Site Manager, PMO, and client support for menu and events.
• Ensure compliance with Tri-Service Food Code and health regulations.
• Control budgets, inventories, and vendor invoices.
