Job summary

Snoonu in Doha, Qatar, seeks a high-impact Head of AI/ML and Backend Engineering to lead a cross-functional team focused on Python applications, AI/ML services, and data-driven platforms. You will mentor engineers at all levels, define technical roadmaps, and ensure alignment with ML project requirements.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Data Science, QA, DevOps, and Platform Leads to deliver scalable ML initiatives, model serving, and robust data pipelines while promoting strong engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• Advanced degrees (MSc/PhD) in AI/ML or Applied Data Science are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain ML workflows and architecture to technical and business stakeholders.
• Data-driven decision-making and ability to justify improvements with metrics.
• Balanced leadership mindset—delegation with hands-on technical work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional engineering team focused on Python applications, AI/ML services, and data-driven platforms.
• Mentor Senior, Middle, and Junior Engineers and align with ML project requirements.
• Coordinate with Product, Data Science, QA, DevOps, and Platform Leads to deliver AI/ML initiatives.
• Drive end-to-end architecture and design for AI/ML applications and model-serving infrastructure.
• Oversee reliability, monitoring, and model deployment with best practices in experiment tracking and evaluation.
