Job summary

Rosewood Doha seeks an Accounts Payable specialist to manage supplier invoices, vouchers and payments within our luxury hospitality group. You will ensure invoices are matched to purchase orders, posted correctly, and recorded into the AP sub-ledger with accuracy.

The role requires coordinating with departments to resolve discrepancies, generating monthly AP aging and GRNI accruals, and maintaining proper documentation in compliance with hotel procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in accounts payable processes and journal entries.
• Experience with supplier/vendor invoices and accruals is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of all procedures and operations as detailed in the Accounting Manual.
• Coordinate with accounting section heads for Journal Voucher preparation.
• Verify and match vendor invoices with purchase orders and perform related expense postings.
• Prepare Payable Vouchers and related payment checks.
• Stamp invoices as PAID before authorization signatures for payment checks.
• Verify vendor addresses, amounts and signatures before mailing payment checks.
• Record Petty Cash payments in the Accounting System and perform AP sub-ledger bookings.
• Review supplier statements and investigate discrepancies and overdue items.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly AP Aging and GRNI accruals; ensure proper documentation and filing."
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, Cost Control, and department heads to resolve invoice discrepancies.
