Job summary

Omanyp, based in Doha, is seeking an experienced Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and support fund accounting activities. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and handling banking activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 3-4 years of experience in asset management, and strong knowledge of IFRS. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic or French is a plus.

Our client is a well‑established infrastructure‑focused private equity investment manager based in Doha, operating within a regulated financial environment. The firm manages multiple investment vehicles and is known for its disciplined approach to financial governance and reporting.

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting fund accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain books of accounts and accounting schedules
• Perform fund accounting for complex structures (GP/LP, SPVs)
• Prepare regulatory filings and internal reports
• Process payments and manage banking activities
• Support budgeting, audits, and investor reporting
• Maintain documentation in line with internal policies
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and stakeholders

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Progress towards ACCA, CPA, ACA, or similar preferred
• 3–4 years of accounting experience in funds or asset management
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting
• Experience in private equity or fund structures preferred
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and entities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English required; Arabic/French is a plus
