Hutchinson Borrachas de Portugal is seeking an Automation and Robotics Technician to coordinate design and innovation projects on site at Campo Maior, working closely with the HCG factory. You will provide technical support, train teams, and ensure equipment performance meets objectives.

Responsibilities include selecting development strategies, coordinating project teams, and ensuring compliance with procedures from specs to startup, with focus on productivity, reliability, and safety.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Knowledge of HBP quality, environmental, safety, and energy standards.

Responsabilidades

• Reporting on selecting the appropriate development strategy for equipment.
• Maintaining effective interface and collaboration with HCG counterparts.
• Coordinating the assigned project team and ensuring project schedule compliance.
• Following internal development procedures from specs to equipment start up.
• Ensuring supplier management and budget monitoring.
• Installing, programming, testing, and commissioning automation, instrumentation, and robotics equipment.
• Using analytical techniques to correct programming errors and integrate equipment with production.
• Developing training programs and documentation.
• Diagnosing failures in manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Proposing improvements to optimize productivity, reliability, and safety.
• Contributing to improvements in work organization, safety, and deadlines.

Reporting to the Industrial IT Coordinator of Hutchinson Borrachas de Portugal at Campo Maior, and working in close collaboration with the HCG factory, their main mission is to coordinate design and innovation projects and/or the development of specific production equipment, as well as to provide technical support and training to on site teams - from functional analysis to commissioning - ensuring defined objectives are met and contributing to improved equipment performance.

Your role

As an Automation and Robotics Technician, your main responsibilities will include:

• Reporting, in alignment with the Manager, on selecting the appropriate development strategy for equipment (internal design, partial external design, or full external design).
• Maintaining effective interface and collaboration with HCG counterparts.
• Coordinating the assigned project team, ensuring proper follow up of implementation and execution activities, and full compliance with the project schedule.
• Following internal development procedures, from the initial specifications document to equipment start up.
• Ensuring proper supplier management and budget monitoring.
• Installing, programming, testing, and commissioning automation, instrumentation, and robotics equipment and systems, applying suitable planning, assembly techniques, and programming languages.
• Using appropriate analytical techniques to correct programming errors and employing software tools to integrate and coordinate robotic equipment within production processes.
• Developing training programs and all associated documentation.
• Diagnosing potential failures in manufacturing equipment and automation, instrumentation, and robotics systems, using the most suitable diagnostic techniques and instruments.
• Proposing improvement solutions aimed at optimizing industrial performance (productivity, reliability, safety).
• Actively contributing to improvements in work organization, safety, cost control, and deadlines.
• Reporting all detected anomalies and potential improvement points to the management hierarchy.
