Sustainability Analyst (Maternity leave cover)

IMG Group is a third-generation family-owned industrial group headquartered in Portugal, active in PET packaging films (Evertis), specialty copolyester resins (Selenis), recycling (Renascis) and renewable energy (Renewis).

We are looking for a Sustainability Analyst to join our global sustainability team on a maternity leave cover contract. The role is initially temporary;
depending on business needs and performance, there may be an opportunity to continue with the company afterwards.

Details

• Location: Portalegre or Santo Tirso (Portugal). Hybrid is also an option.
• Contract: maternity leave cover, approx. 12 months, with possible extension
• Working arrangement: hybrid; candidates based elsewhere in Portugal work remotely, with one week per month at our Portalegre office

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of Global Sustainability, you will support sustainability work across the group, including:

• Collecting, analysing and reporting sustainability data and KPIs
• Supporting the preparation of sustainability reports and ESG disclosures
• Coordinating responses to external sustainability assessments and ratings (EcoVadis, Sedex, IntegrityNext) and customer sustainability questionnaires
• Maintaining sustainability documentation and preparing communication materials such as presentations and brochures
• Supporting the implementation and monitoring of our decarbonisation targets and roadmap
• Tracking sustainability KPIs and initiatives with cross-functional teams and monitoring progress against milestones
• Supporting Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) projects: data collection and validation, methodological consistency, reporting, and benchmarking against industry practice

What you'll bring

• A degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Sustainability or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and the ability to work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Up-to-date knowledge of sustainability and ESG topics
• Fluency in English and Portuguese (required); Spanish or other languages an advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Familiarity with AI tools and digital solutions for data analysis, reporting and research

• You will work in a global sustainability function where reporting, decarbonisation and circularity are core business priorities, not side projects. The work is hands-on from day one: real data and real disclosures, in a collaborative and international team.
