Damia Group in Portugal is seeking a seasoned Team Leader to manage backend and security software engineers building scalable cloud applications. You will steer Agile processes with Product, define technical vision, guide architecture, and collaborate with research, data science, and product teams to shape the roadmap.

The role requires 2-3+ years in leadership and 5+ years hands-on with distributed cloud apps, preferably Scala/Java, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualificações

• 2-3+ years as a Team Leader, working with Agile methodologies
• 5+ years of proven hands-on experience developing large-scale, distributed, highly available cloud applications
• Strong server-side engineering background, ideally with Scala/Java
• Experience or strong interest in web/mobile security, anti-fraud, or fingerprinting domains is an advantage
• Strong technical and product vision, and the ability to communicate it to multiple audiences
• Proven track record delivering enterprise solutions from design through production
• Ability to inspire, lead, and mentor high-performing senior engineers
• Ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment while staying focused on goals
• Strong customer focus, excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken
• Currently living in Portugal and legally authorized to work in the country

Responsabilidades

• Lead talented backend and security software engineers as their direct manager, supporting their growth and development
• Run the team's Agile development process, working with Product to set objectives and build a development plan to achieve them
• Own the technical vision and architecture for highly scalable, real-time and batch systems
• Participate in code reviews
• Lead the hiring and onboarding of new team members
• Collaborate closely with research, data science, and product teams to define and implement new features and shape the roadmap
