TeamViewer seeks a Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Porto, Portugal, designing and implementing multi-threaded, scalable applications for remote access and support. You will report to the Team Manager Software Development and contribute in an agile, modern environment.

You should have 5+ years in C++ with strong OO design and design pattern knowledge, and a fluency in English. Hybrid work and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualificações

• A university or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related subject.
• At least 5 years of professional software development experience focusing on C++.
• Solid OO programming skills with Clean Code and Design Patterns.
• Interest or knowledge in web technologies such as TypeScript, HTML5 or C# is a plus.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages like German or Portuguese are a plus.

Responsibilities

Join our R&D team as a Software Engineer (all genders) and actively contribute to the development of new features of our product allowing remote access, control and support. The position will report to the Team Manager Software Development and provides an excellent opportunity to create an impact and add value in an agile, modern environment.

• Design and develop multi-threaded and high scaling server- and client-side applications
• Optimize our software to deliver the best connectivity on resource limited devices (operating panels, gateways, even harvesters)
• Ensure that our software is stable and runs efficiently on many different systems (more than 2.5 billion installations)
• Recommend improvements to architecture and technologies to further enhance our systems and code base regarding reliability, maintainability, scalability, and efficiency
• Monitor the latest technical developments in your field and make proposals for improvements

Requirements

• A university or college degree in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related subject
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of software development with focus on C++
• Solid skills in architecture in object-oriented programming with Clean Code and Design Patterns is expected
• Interest or knowledge in web technologies such as TypeScript, HTML 5 or C# is a plus
• Fluency in English is mandatory, further languages such as German or Portuguese are a plus
