Intapp is seeking an experienced engineer in Lisbon to own features end to end in an AI-first product development lifecycle. You will drive AI usage across the build loop, validate output to production standards, and raise the bar for AI-driven software delivery.

You will join a hybrid team (2+ days in office) at the Lisbon R&D Centre, contributing to AI tools, managed agents, and the Digital Thread that shapes Intapp’s engineering plans and shipping practices.

Qualificações

• Production software experience delivering features end to end.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) in daily work.
• Strong fundamentals across backend or frontend and ability to work across the stack.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or agentic workflows.
• Fluent English.

Position Overview

This is a permanent, full-time role for an experienced engineer (typically 2–5 years’ experience) who owns features end to end and works AI-first by default. What defines this role isn’t the stack — it’s how you work: directing AI across the build loop, validating its output to a production standard, and raising the bar for how your team works with AI.

You’ll join an engineering organisation that is AI-first by design — AI is part of every stage of how we build product, not bolted onto the end. You’ll join our Lisbon team building Intapp’s AI-first product development lifecycle (PDLC) platform — the AI tools, managed agents, and shared “Digital Thread” that change how Intapp’s engineers plan, design, build, and ship software. You’ll work in a hybrid model (2+ days/week in office) from our Lisbon R&D Centre in Parque das Nações.

About Lisbon

Intapp chose Lisbon for its engineering talent and that decision is reflected in what the centre has already become. The Lisbon R&D team has 50 team members that work on the full engineering stack: backend, frontend, full-stack, QA automation, data and ML, DevOps, and database engineering. These aren’t supporting functions for work happening elsewhere. They’re teams with real product ownership, working directly on the platforms that Intapp’s clients depend on.

What you will do

• Own delivery of features end to end, focused on the outcome — not just shipping — using AI as your default instrument from spec to pull request.
• Set the quality bar for AI-generated code on your team — review, validate, and refactor to production standard, catching hallucinations and architectural flaws.
• Improve how your team works AI-first — develop prompts, agentic workflows, and reusable patterns, and contribute them back to the team.
• Support and mentor junior engineers in AI-first practice.
• Partner with product managers, designers, DevOps and QA to turn intent into shipped software.

What you will need

• Solid professional experience delivering production software, owning features end to end with limited supervision.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands‑on use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as a core part of how you already work. This must be demonstrated, regular practice.
• Strong engineering fundamentals with real depth in at least one area — backend or frontend — and the proven ability and willingness to work across the stack, including core data structures and hands‑on experience working with application data.
• Working knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, or agentic workflows — built through projects or work experience.
• The judgment to hold a high quality bar on AI-generated output and to explain your reasoning.
• Fluent English.

What would be nice to have

• Experience mentoring engineers or leading discrete pieces of work.
• Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, or retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) patterns.
• Background in enterprise software or B2B SaaS environments.
