Centric Software is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team and own the reliability of the Shoppingfeed product. You will work closely with software developers and infrastructure engineers, while also collaborating with security and QA colleagues.

You will diagnose and resolve performance issues, tune web-serving layers under load, manage Docker workloads, and own deployments end-to-end. This role offers remote or office-based work within a global, fast-growing SaaS environment.

Qualificações

• 2+ years of Linux CLI experience.
• 2+ years with Docker or container tech.
• Strong PHP run-time and php-fpm skills.
• 5+ years of Git experience.
• Broad knowledge from Linux to AWS S3, MySQL/MariaDB, Elasticsearch.
• B2 level English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnose and resolve reliability and performance issues across the request path (nginx, php-fpm, app, DB/cache).
• Tune and scale the web-serving layer under production load (pool sizing, timeouts, keepalive).
• Configure and troubleshoot nginx as reverse proxy/web server.
• Diagnose and resolve performance and scaling under load.
• Develop, maintain, and support Docker-based workloads.
• Own the product deployment and upgrade process end-to-end.
• Support and troubleshoot running customer-facing services.
• Collaborate with product teams roughly half the time to drive improvements.
• Improve product and infrastructure with the team; define reliability metrics.
• Participate in On-Call and On-Duty rotations.

Our Vision For This Role

In your new role as Site Reliability Engineer, you will support us right in the heart of our SaaS, as an integral member of the Site Reliability Engineering team. You will be responsible for the Shoppingfeed product, working in close relations with our software developers and infrastructure engineers, but also with our security and QA colleagues.

YOUR CURRENT TASKS WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW – WHAT WILL YOUR LIFE AT CENTRIC SOFTWARE LOOK LIKE?

• Diagnose and resolve application-level reliability and performances issues across the pull request path (nginx -> php-fpm -> application -> database/cache)
• Tune and scale the web-serving layer under production load — php-fpm pool sizing and process management, nginx timeouts/buffering/upstream keepalive, capacity planning.
• Solid experience configuring and troubleshooting nginx as a reverse proxy / web server (timeouts, buffering, upstream keepalive, diagnosing 502/504s).
• Proven experience diagnosing and resolving performance and scaling problems under load (latency, worker/pool saturation, capacity planning).
• Develop, maintain, and support our own Docker-based workloads
• Own the product deployment and upgrade process end to end
• Support and troubleshoot running customer-facing services
• Work 50% of your time with our product teams, ensuring much-needed improvements get defined, explained, worked on and rolled out
• Continuously helping to improve both our product and the infrastructure underneath, by taking the responsibility together with your team
• Define reliability metrics and ensure they are kept by all the systems you oversee
• Be part of our On-Call and On-Duty rotations

YOUR PROFILE – WHAT DO YOU NEED TO FIT IN?

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years proven experience with Linux CLI
• 2+ years proven experience with Docker or other container technology
• Strong hands-on experience with PHP applications and their runtime (php-fpm process management), able to read and debug application code
• 5+ years proven experience with GIT
• You have good knowledge over a multitude of technologies (from Linux Kernel and Load Balancing to PHP, AWS S3, from container orchestration to MySQL/MariaDB and Elasticsearch)
• B2 English

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years proven experience with configuration management tools (Ansible; Saltstack; Puppet; Chef etc)
• 1+ years proven experience with Kubernetes
• 3+ years proven experience managing clustered Linux servers
• 2+ years experience working in a team, on large GIT projects
• 3+ years proven experience with CI/CD tools (ideally Github Actions or similar tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• with a monitoring tool (ideally Datadog or prometheus/grafana or kibana/elasticsearch)
• 2+ years proven experience managing Elasticsearch clusters
• 2+ years proven experience managing MySQL / MariaDB
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex issues [
• 3+ proven experience with at least one cloud provider (ideally AWS)
• 3+ proven experience with IaC tools (ideally Terraform)
• proven experience with RabbitMQ is a plus
