XIBIX Solutions is seeking an experienced Rust developer to work on secure applications for a major European energy client. You will implement secure coding practices across the lifecycle and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Rust experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication to advise stakeholders on security decisions within the ACX unit. Hybrid work with Porto office presence is offered.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience with extensive hands-on Rust development.
• Solid understanding of secure software development principles and secure coding practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proactive approach.
• Excellent communication skills to advise stakeholders on security topics.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain secure Rust applications for customer projects.
• Apply secure SDLC and secure coding practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Integrate and operate security tooling in CI/CD pipelines (DAST/SAST/SC scanning).
• Analyse and remediate security findings from dependencies to code-level issues.
• Advise stakeholders on security-related architecture and decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the ACX unit.

• Developing and maintaining high-quality, secure Rust applications in an agile customer project for a major European energy company
• Applying secure software development principles and secure coding practices throughout the entire development lifecycle
• Integrating and operating security tooling such as SAST, DAST, SCA/dependency scanning (e.g. Black Duck) and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines
• Analysing and remediating security findings, from dependency vulnerabilities to code-level issues
• Advising stakeholders on security‑related architecture and code decisions, and communicating complex technical topics to technical and non‑technical audiences
• Working closely with cross‑functional teams as part of the ACX business unit

Your profile

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, with extensive, long‑standing hands‑on experience in Rust development
• Solid understanding of secure software development principles and secure coding practices
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, combined with a proactive, solution‑oriented working style
• Strong communication skills and the ability to advise stakeholders on security‑related topics
• Nice to have: experience with DAST and SAST tooling, Black Duck or comparable SCA/dependency scanning tools, and secret scanning tools and practices (e.g. GitLeaks, TruffleHog, GitHub Secret Scanning)
