InnoWave is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead automation across UI, API, and data layers. You will define target-state automation architecture, build a business case for tooling, and secure buy‑in from engineering, product, and leadership.

Embed in Agile squads as QE lead, mentor teams, and ensure test coverage with Selenium/Playwright, Python, SQL, and CI/CD integration. Fluent English and hybrid work in Portugal offices are required to deliver high quality releases.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in software quality engineering, across multiple layers (UI, API, or data).
• Built or rebuilt automation where little existed, not just extended existing suites.
• Hands‑on automation with Selenium or Playwright, plus API test automation.
• Test automation in Python; strong JavaScript/TypeScript or C# with willingness to work in Python.
• Comfortable with SQL and validating data at rest.
• Integrating test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Routine use of AI coding/testing tools with ROI awareness.
• Proven track record of getting tooling adopted by teams.
• Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders; fluent English.
• Availability to work in a Hybrid model in one of our offices.

Responsabilidades

• Audit coverage, tooling, and processes to identify real risk areas.
• Define target-state automation architecture and a staged path by risk.
• Build the case for change and secure buy‑in from engineering and leadership.
• Close testability gaps with engineering to enable automation.
• Design and build UI, API, and data coverage with regression and contract testing.
• Validate data at rest and data-layer changes (migrations, parity).
• Integrate suites into CI/CD as quality gates with performance/load testing.
• Conduct security testing and coordinate remediation with security teams.
• Keep test infra portable (containers, self‑hosted grids) and manage test data.
• Use AI tools to generate tests and analyze results; provide ROI insights.
• Build quality dashboards and release-go/no-go reports for execs.
• Embed in Agile squads as QE lead; coordinate onshore/offshore QE; mentor peers.
