We are building an AI-native procurement platform where shared platform capabilities enable intelligent applications, autonomous agents, and engineering teams to move faster together. This role owns the product strategy, roadmap, and evolution of the platform capabilities that underpin every product built across the organisation.

You will define and prioritise the common services, APIs, developer capabilities, AI infrastructure, and reusable platform components that enable engineering teams to deliver consistently and at scale. Rather than owning customer-facing features, you will ensure the platform itself becomes a strategic product that accelerates innovation, improves developer experience, and reduces duplication across teams.

This is a senior product leadership role requiring a strong blend of technical understanding, platform thinking, and commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI platform.
• Identify reusable platform capabilities that enable multiple products, engineering teams, and AI agents to build on common foundations.
• Prioritise platform investments balancing engineering productivity, operational excellence, security, scalability, and business value.
• Work closely with Product Engineering, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Security, UX, and Product Management to align platform capabilities with organisational priorities.
• Own the lifecycle of platform services including APIs, shared services, developer tooling, AI infrastructure, orchestration capabilities, and internal engineering products.
• Define platform success metrics including adoption, engineering productivity, reliability, reuse, operational performance, and developer satisfaction.
• Translate engineering needs into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and platform capabilities to determine where they create strategic advantage.
• Champion platform-first thinking across the organisation, reducing duplicated functionality and encouraging reuse.
• Support engineering teams throughout delivery, ensuring platform capabilities remain aligned with evolving product requirements.

Requirements

• Experience managing technical platforms, developer platforms, or enterprise software products.
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture, cloud-native platforms, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Expertise defining product strategy for highly technical products serving internal engineering teams or enterprise platforms.
• Ability to balance long‑term platform investment with immediate product delivery needs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering, product, and executive leadership.
• Experience using data and measurable outcomes to prioritise product decisions.
• Comfortable working alongside software engineers, architects, AI engineers, and platform teams on highly technical initiatives.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to translate engineering capabilities into business value.
• Passion for building reusable platforms that enable innovation at scale.
