IGH Group, via RevoData in Lisbon, seeks Senior/Principal Data Engineers to design scalable data platforms, lead architecture, delivery, and client engagements across financial services, retail and healthcare sectors.

You will work with Databricks on Azure, Spark PySpark, SQL, Python; build data lakes and warehouses, ensure security and governance; contribute to production ML and analytics. This is a hybrid Lisbon-based role with international exposure.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in complex environments.
• Strong SQL and Python, with PySpark/Pandas experience.
• Hands-on Databricks on Azure with cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Snowflake, IaC, CI/CD, and DevOps.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable data architectures.
• Experience leading workstreams, mentoring engineers, and stakeholder management.
• Fluent English with client-facing consultancy experience.

We are looking for Senior / Principal Data Engineers to join RevoData, a specialised data consultancy that is part of the IG&H Group. In this role, you will help design and build scalable, future-proof data platforms that power impactful data and analytics solutions for our clients.

Beyond technical excellence, we're looking for professionals who can take ownership of architecture, project delivery, and client engagement, acting as trusted advisors and helping clients translate business challenges into robust data solutions.

You will work on complex and business-critical initiatives, with strong exposure to the financial services sector, where regulation, security, and reliability are non-negotiable, as well as projects in retail and healthcare.

You will be based in Lisbon (or nearby) and collaborate daily with colleagues and clients across the Netherlands, where the majority of our client engagements are based. This offers the opportunity to work on international, business-critical projects while remaining in Portugal, gaining exposure to leading organisations and some of the most advanced data platforms and analytics environments in the market.

We are looking for someone who:

• Takes ownership of architecture, project delivery, and client engagement, acting as a trusted advisor and helping clients translate business challenges into scalable and impactful data solutions.

• Designs, builds, and evolves reusable data models, architectures, and platform capabilities that support long-term business objectives.

• Leads the development of complex data pipelines (ETL/ELT) using Spark and PySpark on Databricks and Azure.

• Architects and optimises modern data platforms, including data lakes and data warehouses, with a strong focus on performance, security, governance, and scalability.

• Brings analytics, machine learning, and data science solutions into production through robust, reliable, and maintainable engineering

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a proven track record of delivering data platform and analytics solutions in complex business environments.

• Strong expertise in SQL, Python and data processing frameworks such as PySpark or Pandas.

• Hands‑on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables) and modern cloud data platforms, preferably on Azure. Experience with Snowflake and infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and DevOps practices is highly valued.

• Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and future-proof data architectures that support enterprise‑grade analytics and data products.

• The ability to balance technical excellence with business impact, translating complex requirements into practical and sustainable solutions.

• Experience leading workstreams, mentoring engineers, and taking ownership of technical decisions, project delivery, and stakeholder management.

• Strong communication and consultancy skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients, challenge assumptions, and present technical recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Fluent spoken and written English, as you will collaborate daily with colleagues and clients in the Netherlands.

• Experience in a consultancy, client-facing, or advisory environment, with the ability to build trusted relationships and identify opportunities to create additional value for clients.

• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable taking ownership and helping shape technical strategy, delivery approaches, and team growth.

What success looks like in your first six months:

• You are fully onboarded into our Azure and Databricks platform and contributing to a live client project.

• You are taking ownership of your own tasks within a workstream and delivering them with growing autonomy.

• You are comfortable with our engineering standards and ways of working, and have become a reliable, growing member of the team.

What we offer you:

• Hybrid model: Lisbon based (minimum 1 day/in the office);

• Permanent contract from day one, with salary and benefits in line with your experience.

• Gross annual salary range between € 44’211- € 66’750 gross (depending on the experience);

• Meal Allowance: €10.20 per working day;
