GBL Tech is seeking a PHP Application Developer to join a technical team focused on building and evolving robust business applications in Portugal. You will design, implement, and maintain backend software using PHP, Symfony, and Laravel, with a strong emphasis on reliability and performance.

The role requires 4–5 years of hands-on experience in PHP development, solid Symfony/Laravel knowledge, and deep MySQL database skills to optimize data interactions and scalability.

Qualificações

• 4–5 years of professional experience as a PHP Application Developer.
• Solid experience with Symfony and/or Laravel.
• Strong practical knowledge of MySQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience developing and maintaining backend applications with a focus on scalability and performance.

Responsabilidades

• Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications using PHP, with a focus on application logic and software quality.
• Backend Engineering: Build and enhance application components using Symfony and/or Laravel, following clean, maintainable development practices.
• Database Development: Work extensively with MySQL, designing and optimizing data structures and ensuring efficient application-to-database interactions.
• Application Evolution: Analyse existing solutions, implement new functionalities, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve performance and reliability.
• Technical Collaboration: Work closely with other technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective application solutions.
