Nextlane in Porto is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in C#/.NET, cloud-native backend development, and API engineering. This hands-on role focuses on scalable, secure backend services in cloud environments, collaborating with Tech Leads and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work to ensure architecture compliance, contribute to engineering quality, and implement AI-assisted workflows using Cursor or Claude Code Codex.

Qualificações

• Minimum 6 years in backend development.
• Experience building scalable backend services.
• Experience with unit, integration and performance tests.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude-Code, Codex, Copilot).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Fluent in English; interviews conducted in English.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C#/.NET Core.
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs and ensure data integrity.
• Apply SOLID principles and architectural patterns (Clean/Onion/Hexagonal/DDD).
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering quality.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads, frontend, QA and DevOps in Agile ceremonies.
