Alpineo Consulting is seeking a Storage Engineer to monitor and manage NAS and SMB storage systems in a large enterprise environment. You will ensure availability, performance, and reliability while provisioning storage and optimizing capacity.

The role requires scripting and automation to streamline operations and support upgrades and migrations. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a similar role, strong knowledge of NFS/SMB, Windows Active Directory, and hands-on experience with NetApp, Dell

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the monitoring and management of NAS and SMB storage systems.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of storage environments.
• Perform storage provisioning and capacity management activities.
• Troubleshoot storage-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and storage optimization initiatives.

Storage Technologies

• Administer and support NFS storage systems.
• Manage and maintain SMB storage environments.
• Support and optimize enterprise storage platforms, including:
• NetApp
• Dell PowerScale
• Hitachi VSP
• Perform SAN disk provisioning activities.

Automation & Scripting

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Support infrastructure automation initiatives using:
• Bash
• KSH
• Python
• Perl
• Ansible

Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with Infrastructure teams, including:
• Backup
• Network
• Wintel
• Security
• Contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
