EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join our global remote team, building business-critical platforms for a leading financial market infrastructure provider. You will drive backend services, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions using Java and Python, while focusing on security and performance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Java backend development, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and CI/CD with GitLab.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software engineering with Java/backend development.
• Strong hands-on Java experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Practical Python and Django experience.
• Proficiency in designing scalable RESTful APIs and architectures.
• Relational databases design and optimization (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with Git/GitLab, CI/CD workflows, and secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of security fundamentals and observability tooling available (Datadog).
• Excellent problem-solving and English communication skills (B2+).

Responsabilidades

• Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain features in Python and Django where required.
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, and effort estimation.
• Write clean, secure code following OOP and clean-code principles.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries.
• Implement unit and integration tests (JUnit, Mockito).
• Support CI/CD with GitLab and monitor reliability using observability tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues and maintain performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and cybersecurity experts.
• Apply secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10, OAuth2/JWT/RBAC/SSO).
