Axians Portugal is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build high-performance distributed applications for a global banking environment. You will work with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure software and lead modern engineering practices.

You will implement automated testing, CI/CD, and maintain documentation while mentoring peers. The role requires strong Java backend skills, Spring experience, and fluent English in a collaborative, dynamic setting in Lisbon.

Qualificações

• Solid Java backend experience.
• Hands-on experience with Spring.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and technologies (e.g., Oracle Coherence, Apache Cassandra, Spectrum Symphony, Kafka, Tomcat, etc.).
• Experience in testing from Unit Testing to Acceptance Testing.
• Appreciation of distributed systems programming patterns.
• Appreciation of parallelisation techniques.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the production of quality software solutions in line with best practices for maintainability, security, scalability and documentation.
• Design and development.
• Clarify and qualify needs.
• Carry out studies before project launch.
• Design software solutions.
• Develop software meeting development and security standards.
• Optimize existing code and improve maintainability.
• Integrate software packages and define settings.
• Enforce automated testing, CI and CD.
• Review code for alignment with team standards and developer needs.
• Hands-on development of tools/framework changes to meet requirements.
• Testing, acceptance and release.
• Implement and/or create a test strategy.
• Install deployment tools in environments.
• Upgrade documentation and maintain know-how.
• Participate in developer networks and share best practices.
• Continual training in new information technologies.
