Hitachi Solutions Europe is a global Digital, Data and Technology consultancy, Microsoft Solution Partner and Cloud Services partner, specialising in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and Data & Analytics. We are growing our consulting team and seek Senior Data Engineer Consultants to join our Hitachi Solutions family.

You will deliver bespoke analytics, advising on best practices and delivering on time and budget.

Qualificações

• We are looking for ambitious consulting professionals who combine their technical acumen with a genuine enthusiasm for improving organisations.
• Strong client facing experience, previously working for a management consultancy or system integrator.
• Experience designing or developing BI & analytics solutions using the full Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS).
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements.
• Design & development using data discovery tools such as Microsoft Power BI, QlikView, Tableau.
• Model and transform data, build ETL solutions and present data in a business context.
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory and Databricks; Data Platform solutions (Microsoft Fabric).
• Experience with Big Data, Data Science and AI technologies, including ML/GenAI.
• Act as trusted advisor to clients and internal teams; strong problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Advise clients on data and analytics practices and deliver capabilities on time and budget.
• Capture client requirements and model data to develop an effective intelligence solution architecture.
• Develop or design Data Platform, BI and Advanced Analytics solutions with latest cloud technologies.
• Implement data management and transformation best practices.
• Design and develop reports and dashboards for clear information presentation.

Job Description

We are growing our consulting team and looking for Senior Data Engineer Consultants to join us on our exciting journey and be part of the Hitachi Solutions family.

In this role you will be providing bespoke and cutting edge advanced analytics solutions, bringing significant commercial advantage to some of the UK's most recognised companies.

The successful candidate will draw upon their experience with data engineering and business intelligence tools and techniques to advise clients on data and analytics best practices and deliver data and analytics solutions on time and to budget.

Main areas of responsibility

• Advising clients on the best data and analytics practices and deliver data and analytics capabilities on time and to budget.
• Capture client requirements and model data to develop an effective intelligence solution architecture.
• Develop or design bespoke Data Platform, Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics solutions, leveraging the latest cloud technologies.
• Implement solutions using best practices for the management and transformation of data.
• Design and develop effective reports and dashboards to present information in a clear and informative manner.

• Ability to model and transform data, build ETL solutions and present data in a useful business context.
• Hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with data integration tools like Azure Data Factory and Data platform solutions such as Microsoft Fabric and/or Databricks.
• Experience or awareness of Big Data and Data Science and/or AI technologies, including the integration of Machine Learning models and/or Generative AI components.
• Experience within the Data Engineering and AI domain, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
