KPMG Portugal is seeking an Azure Cloud Network Engineer to deploy, configure, and manage Azure VNets, subnets, NSGs, and related services. The role emphasizes strong networking skills, security, and automation within a large professional services environment.

You will design scalable cloud architectures, implement policies for governance, and collaborate with senior engineers and architects to uphold best practices across Azure resources.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (3–4 years).
• Strong knowledge of Azure virtual networks, VPN, subnetting, NSGs and network security groups.

Responsabilidades

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure virtual networks, subnets, network peering, and NSGs.
• Configure and manage routing tables to optimize network traffic.
• Maintain and optimize Azure resources (compute, storage, databases).
• Implement and monitor network security measures (firewalls, NSGs) with Azure Defender for Cloud.
• Configure Azure Application Gateway and related security settings; design scalable cloud architectures.
• Create and enforce Azure Policies and governance across the environment.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud deployments and operations.

Technical Skills:

• Degree in Computer Engineering or Similar.
• Proven experience working with Microsoft Azure cloud services at least 3 or 4 years.
• Strong knowledge of Azure virtual networks, VPN, subnetting, network peering, and network security groups (NSGs).
• Familiarity with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Azure Defender for Cloud and Log Analytics for monitoring and security.
• Understanding of Azure monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher.
• Knowledge of Azure Policies and Initiatives for resource compliance and governance.
• Experience with configuring and managing routing tables for network traffic management.
• Proficient in configuring Azure Application Gateway, including listeners, backend pools, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure virtual networks, subnets, network peering, and network security groups (NSGs).
• Configure and manage routing tables to manage network traffic and ensure optimal path selection.
• Maintain and optimize Azure resources, including compute, storage, and databases.

2. Network Security & Monitoring:

• Implement and manage Azure network security measures, such as firewalls, security groups, and threat detection with Azure Defender for Cloud.
• Configure and monitor network security groups (NSGs) to control the inbound and outbound traffic to Azure VMs and services.
• Monitor network performance and security, and troubleshoot network-related issues using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring tools.

3. Application Gateway:

• Configure and manage Azure Application Gateway, including listeners, backend pools, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) settings.
• Assist in designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud architecture solutions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to develop and improve architecture frameworks and standards.
• Create and manage Azure Policies and Initiatives to ensure compliance and governance across the Azure environment.
• Implement, monitor, and enforce policies to manage resources effectively and ensure they comply with organizational standards and requirements.

6. Automation & Scripting:

• Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate cloud infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management.
• Use Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates for automated workflows.

7. Compliance & Best Practices:

• Ensure Azure deployments and operations comply with organizational security policies and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features, services, and industry best practices for cloud architecture and network security.

8. Documentation & Reporting:

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, cloud architecture designs, operational procedures, and policy implementations.
• Provide regular reports on cloud service usage, performance, and security metrics.
