Affinity seeks an experienced software engineer to join our Portugal-based team building an ultra-low latency algorithmic trading platform. You will work on high-load, real-time systems using modern C++ and Linux, across migration and refactoring efforts.

You will collaborate with global teams, contribute to the SDLC, and help design robust architecture. Fluent English is required, and knowledge of trading protocols such as FIX is a plus.

Qualificações

• At least 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong C++ (C++11/14/17/20) with STL and Boost.
• Experience with electronic trading platforms or high-load real-time systems.
• Solid understanding of software design, data structures and algorithms.
• Linux experience and tools: CMake, GCC, GDB.
• Experience with Agile development and full SDLC.
• Experience with migration and refactoring projects.
• Knowledge of Python, Bash and Unix scripting.
• Knowledge of FIX protocol or other financial trading protocols is a plus.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain an ultra-low latency algorithmic trading platform.
• Develop new Algo models, trading framework components, market data distribution solutions, and exchange connectors.
• Build and optimize high-performance, low-latency C++ components for electronic trading.
• Ensure the platform meets high standards of performance, quality, security, and reliability.
• Participate throughout the development lifecycle, including technical analysis, development, testing, documentation, and code reviews.
• Take ownership of platform components across development, CI/CD, production support, and bug fixing.
• Collaborate with global engineering, business, and support teams.
• Contribute to innovative and greenfield development within the trading platform.
