Smart Consulting in Lisbon, Portugal, seeks a Senior Big Data Engineer to drive international Big Data projects in Financial Services and deliver critical solutions. The role requires hands-on expertise in Spark, Python, Hadoop, Hive, SQL, Linux, APIs, Kafka, and CI/CD, plus DevOps and Git proficiency.

Fluency in English (B2) is mandatory; knowledge of French is highly valued. Salary ranges from 1600€ to 2400€ net, depending on experience.

Qualificações

• 9+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Big Data Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Spark and Python.
• Solid knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, SQL, and Linux.
• Experience working with APIs and Kafka.
• Proven experience in software development and CI/CD environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and Git.
• Experience with XL Release, XL Deploy, and CTRL-M is valued.
• Experience with optimization and performance improvement is a plus.
• Good level of English (minimum B2 – mandatory).
• Knowledge of French is highly valued, but not mandatory.
