A IST-ID Association, através do CERIS (Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability) do IST, abre uma bolsa de Iniciação Científica no âmbito do projeto AQUALEARN. A bolsa terá duração de 3 meses e deve iniciar em outubro de 2026, não sendo renovável.

Requisitos: Licenciatura em Engenharia Civil e matrícula no Mestrado em Engenharia Civil na área de Hidráulica e Recursos Hídricos (ou equivalente).

Qualificações

• Bacharel em Engenharia Civil e inscrição no Mestrado em Engenharia Civil com especialização em Hidráulica e Recursos Hídricos.
• Capacidade de análise de dados experimentais e modelos numéricos.
• Interesse em projetos de hidráulica e sustentabilidade.

Responsabilidades

• Realizar análises de efeitos de obstruções em sinais de pressão de forma experimental e numérica.
• Colaborar no trabalho do CERIS sob supervisão científica.
• Contribuir para o avanço do projeto AQUALEARN e a divulgação dos resultados.

Applications are open for 1 Scientific Initiation Studentship, within the framework of project/R&D institution 1801P.01565.1.01 AQUALEARN, (2023.18249.ICDT), financed by national funds through FCT/MCTES

Workplan:Analyses of the effect of blockages in transient pressure signals, based on an extensive experimental data collection programme in a pipe rig and on numerical simulations.

Duration:The research fellowship will have the duration of 3 months. It’s expected to begin in October 2026. This research fellowship is not renewable.

It is mandatory to formalize applications with the submission of the following documents: i) B1 Form – Fellowship application ( https://ist-id.pt/recursos-humanos/bolseiros/#documentos-relacionados ); ii) Curriculum Vitae ; iii) academic degree certificate, where applicable; iv) proof of enrollment at an academic degree course or at a course that does not award an academic degree; v) motivation letter; vi) declaration on honour that the applicant does not exceed with this contract, including the possible renovations, an accumulated period of one year in this type of studentship, continuously or with interruptions, and has not held any other fellowship directly or indirectly funded by FCT.

Selection process

Selection methods: The selection methods will be the following: (i) average grade of the Bachelor's and Master's degrees (50%); (ii) experience in participating in various projects, activities and initiatives in an academic and industrial environment (20%); (iii) letter of motivation (30%). If necessary, an individual interview may be conducted which will calculate the arithmetic average with the previous curricular component.

Announcement/ notification of the results: The final evaluation results will be communicated to all applicants by email.

Deadlines and procedures of complaint and appeal. A complaint may be lodged from the final decision within 15 working days, or an appeal to the Executive Board of IST-ID within 30 working days, both counted from the respective notification
