We are recruiting a Planning Manager to join a major aviation infrastructure programme that will play a crucial role in supporting long-term economic growth, connectivity, and sustainable development. This is a rare opportunity to be part of one of Europe's most significant infrastructure developments, working within a complex, multidisciplinary environment and helping shape the successful delivery of a large-scale programme from design through to construction and handover.
The successful candidate will be based full-time on site, working alongside integrated delivery teams, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders to drive programme performance and ensure robust planning and scheduling controls are in place throughout the project lifecycle. This role is site-based and requires regular presence on project. You'll Be Responsible For
Promoting a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvement. Ensuring planning activities support safe and efficient project delivery. Fostering an inclusive environment that prioritises the wellbeing and development of team members. Managing planning activities across key stages of the project lifecycle. Developing, manage and maintain integrated project programmes and schedules. Monitoring progress, identify risks and opportunities, and implement recovery strategies where required.
Providing strategic planning advice and programme insights to senior stakeholders. Supporting project delivery teams with scenario planning, forecasting and performance reporting. Ensuring project controls processes and reporting requirements are consistently applied. Supporting senior leadership teams with programme assurance, governance and reporting. Ensuring planning and scheduling information is accurate, transparent and aligned to project objectives. Contributing to strategic decision-making through data-led analysis and recommendations.
Promoting best practice planning standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Supporting and mentor planning team members, helping to develop capability across the project. Building collaborative relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders. Sharing knowledge and promote planning excellence across the wider business. Actively contribute to innovation and the adoption of best practice planning methodologies and tools.
You'll Need To Have Significant planning experience across major infrastructure programmes. Advanced Primavera P6 expertise and planning best practice application. Experience managing complex integrated programme schedules. Strong knowledge of project controls, risk and governance. Commercially aware with strong analytical and reporting skills. Builds effective relationships with senior stakeholders. Professional body membership or equivalent preferred. Full-time on-site availability with fluent English communication.
