Recruit 121 Group is seeking an SAP FICO consultant to support an implementation-focused finance programme in Portugal, with remote work and periodic on-site presence in Lisbon.

You will cover SAP FI/CO processes, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, and CO, with exposure to Group Reporting for consolidation and reporting. English and Portuguese are required to collaborate with business stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years SAP FICO implementation experience.
• Ideally 5–10 years SAP FICO consulting across core FI/CO.
• Proven experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation.
• Exposure to SAP Group Reporting, financial consolidation, or group-level reporting.
• Ability to work in a client-facing environment and gather requirements from finance stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver SAP FICO functional support across finance process design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Participate in SAP implementation activities including fit-gap analysis, workshops, business process mapping, solution design, and go-live support.
• Support core FI and CO streams including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and controlling-related processes.
• Work on SAP Group Reporting / consolidation-related requirements where relevant, including financial reporting structures, intercompany considerations, and group-level reporting support.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance users, project managers, and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Assist with integration points between FICO and other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and reporting environments.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, documentation, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Contribute to process improvement and best practice recommendations within SAP finance and reporting streams.

Location: Portugal, ideally Lisbon-based; strong preference for candidates who can attend Lisbon on-site when required

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Initial 6-month contract with likely extensions

Travel: Mostly remote: ideal candidate can attend 2 days on-site in Lisbon when needed but this will not be on a frequent basis so very miniml travel needed

Language: English and Portuguese required

Rate: 300-350 Euros per day for remote working

Role Overview

This position is for an SAP FICO consultant to support an implementation-focused finance programme in Portugal, with additional value placed on SAP Group Reporting exposure for financial consolidation and reporting work. The client needs a consultant who can work mainly remotely while remaining available for periodic on‑site presence in Lisbon and who can start quickly on an initial 6‑month contract.

Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of SAP FICO experience on implementation projects.
• Ideally 5 to 10 years of total SAP FICO consulting experience. Strong hands‑on SAP FICO functional knowledge across core FI and CO processes.
• Proven experience in at least one end‑to‑end SAP implementation programme.
• Exposure to SAP Group Reporting, financial consolidation, or group-level financial reporting.
• Ability to work in a client-facing environment and gather requirements from finance stakeholders.
• English and Portuguese communication skills are required.
