Lever, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, QA Engineering based in Portugal to own the end-to-end QA strategy for a complex enterprise platform. You will lead multiple QA teams, partner with engineering and product, and establish quality metrics and gates to influence releases and roadmaps.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on quality engineering, spanning Kubernetes, cloud, and on-prem environments, with a remote, globally distributed collaboration culture.

Qualificações

• Proven experience leading QA or quality engineering functions within large engineering groups.
• Strong experience defining end-to-end QA strategies, gates, and data-informed decisions.
• Leadership managing managers, principal engineers, and individual contributors.
• Experience scaling QA organizations and operating models for growth.
• Solid technical understanding of functional testing, automation, and performance.
• Experience across multiple product personas including developers and admins.
• Ability to work across Kubernetes, cloud, microservices, and related environments.
• Familiarity with automation and CI/CD testing; Playwright/TestRail helpful.
• Exposure to chaos engineering or advanced reliability testing is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own and drive the end-to-end QA strategy, quality gates, standards, and cross‑team accountability.
• Lead and scale two QA teams including managers, a principal engineer, and ICs.
• Evolve QA organization and operating model to support growth and impact.
• Partner with senior engineering leadership to strengthen reliability and testing practices.
• Guide automation strategy and processes enabling reliable, high-quality outcomes.
• Establish quality coverage across users, developers, and operators in cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Develop actionable quality metrics, dashboards, and leadership-facing reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, UX, docs, and field teams to embed quality.
• Stay connected to hands-on QA execution while providing strategic direction.
• Drive continuous improvement and cultural change across QA practices and automation.
