Decskill in Porto is seeking a Python and Angular Developer to join a multidisciplinary IT team. You will build frontend components with Angular/TypeScript and backend APIs with Python and FastAPI, translating user stories into production-ready code.

The role requires at least 3 years of professional experience, solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, HTML/CSS, and experience with Git, Agile practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory, with French as a plus.

We are looking for an Python and Angular Developer

Responsibilities:

Hands-on Development & Integration

• Develop and maintain frontend components and features using Angular and TypeScript;
• Develop stable, secure, and efficient backend APIs using Python and FastAPI;
• Implement user stories and translate functional requirements into high-quality frontend and backend code:
• Ensure seamless integration between frontend interfaces and backend API endpoints;
• Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing application performance.

Adherence to Quality, Security & Standards

• Write clean, readable, and maintainable code in accordance with the company’s established development standards and guidelines;
• Implement unit and integration tests (using tools like Jest/Jasmine for frontend and Pytest for backend) to ensure strong code coverage;
• Apply predefined enterprise security practices (OWASP guidelines, secure coding practices, and secure data handling) across your code;
• Utilize existing CI/CD pipelines, containerization processes, and deployment tools to deliver features to production.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies (Daily meetings, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Refinements);
• Participate in code reviews, receiving constructive feedback to continuously improve coding standards;
• Collaborate closely with the Tech Lead and team members to share knowledge and contribute to the team’s growing autonomy in Angular and FastAPI;

Requirements:

• Professional Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software development;
• Frontend Skills: Mid-level experience with Angular and TypeScript (including modular design, forms, and consuming REST APIs);
• Backend Skills: Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and backend logic using Python and FastAPI;
• Web Technologies: Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive layouts;
• Databases: Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and basic data modeling;
• Tools & Methodology: Good knowledge of version control (Git), Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), and basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in structured corporate environments with defined coding and security guidelines;
• Basic experience with Docker / Containerization;
• Experience in fintech, banking, or financial services.

Languages:

• Fluent in Portuguese (mandatory);
