Airbus Atlantic Portugal in Santo Tirso seeks a Process Engineer to define and industrialize assembly processes, ensuring conformance to design office plans and product specifications. You will develop PFMEA and Control Plans, support production with technical resources, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing and assembly ranges.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree, has aeronautical manufacturing experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with SAP and PFMEA

Responsabilidades

  • Define assembly process operations based on aeronautical standards and plans.
  • Industrialize assembly lines and ensure repeatability of operations.
  • Develop PFMEA and Control Plan with lessons learned.
  • Advance new assembly processes with compliance to standards and design office plans.
  • Provide technical resources to production and update manufacturing documentation.
  • Participate in project audits and push continuous improvement.
  • Analyze times and methods and optimize equipment efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers of structures and equipment/tools.

We are currently recruiting a Process Engineer (M/F) for Airbus Atlantic Portugal, in Santo Tirso.

As part of a multicultural environment and dynamic team, you will support the production of self-structural fuselage elements, reporting directly to the Director of the Manufacturing and Engineering Department at the site. The Process Engineer will be responsible for defining assembly processes, ensuring compliance with product specifications in accordance with the design office and project team.

MISSION
  • Define assembly process operations based on aeronautical standards and design office plans;
  • Ensure the industrialization process of one or more assembly lines, as well as the repeatability and robustness of operations;
  • Monitor and actively participate in the development of the PFMEA and Control Plan, using lessons learned;
  • Participate in the development of new assembly processes, ensuring compliance with standards and design office plans;
  • Monitor and actively participate in the preparation of the PFMEA and Control Plan, using lessons learned;
  • Provide the necessary technical resources to the production area;
  • Ensure the updating of the documentation process for the manufacturing and assembly ranges under your responsibility, in order to promote continuous improvement and the elimination of non-conformities;
  • Participate in audits of projects under your responsibility, as an auditée;
  • Analysis of times and methods;
  • Optimize assembly line equipment in order to increase its efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects;
  • Elaboration of the specifications for structures and equipment/tools based on product requirements, industrial systems, and regulations;
  • Design and manufacturing data management for structures and equipment/tools;
  • Managing suppliers of "structures and equipment/tools."
PROFILE AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in Engineering or other related;
  • Professional experience in similar functions;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members;
  • Analytical and math skills;
  • Ability to perform under stress;
  • An understand of purchase order software platforms (SAP);
  • Good attention to detail to ensure all purchase orders are accurate;
  • Ability to workwith other team members;
  • Understanding of the technical design 2D and 3D;
  • Knowledge of SAP PE1;
  • Aeronautical industry experience (technical manufacturing or process engineering);
  • Understanding of the main basic manufacturing processes (drilling, sealant, riveting, countersinking, ...);
  • Experiences with PFMEAS and standard line balancing (SLB);
  • Capacity to create work orders for nominal process and repairs according to aeronautical manufacturing standards;
  • Availability towork rotating shifts every 3 weeks (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM).
