BlueHorizon in Funchal is seeking a skilled PHP Developer to build and maintain high-performance web applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement new features, optimize existing code, and ensure scalable solutions in an Agile environment.

Fluent English is required, Portuguese a plus, and freshers are welcome. Salary is commensurate with experience, with visa sponsorship available and full-time employment in Funchal.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience as a PHP developer.
• Experience with Laravel or CodeIgniter.
• Frontend basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Experience with MySQL or MongoDB.
• Familiar with Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop test and maintain web-based applications using PHP
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement new features
• Optimize existing code for improved performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely mannerKeep up-to-date with new trends and technologies in web development

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proven experience as a PHP Developer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter
• Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML CSS JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL or MongoDB
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English Portuguese is a plus
