Five9 is seeking a Performance Test Engineer to join our Performance Engineering team. You will design, build, and run scalable tests across our cloud contact center platform, using tools like k6, Gatling, and JMeter while modeling realistic production traffic.

You will apply AI-assisted tooling to speed up analysis and deliver clear findings for development teams. Ideal candidates have 4–7 years of hands-on experience with performance testing, scripting skills in Python/JavaScript, and strong

Qualificações

• 4–7 years of hands-on performance testing or performance engineering.
• Experience writing and maintaining test scripts in one or more of: k6, Gatling, JMeter, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of performance test types and when to apply them (load, stress, soak, spike, scalability).
• Experience defining workload models and translating production metrics into test scenarios.
• Proficiency with application performance monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics).
• Ability to interpret test results and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting or programming skills in Python, JavaScript/Node.js, Java, or Groovy.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios using tools such as k6, Gatling, JMeter, or Python.
• Build and maintain realistic workload models reflecting production traffic patterns.
• Define and document performance test objectives, entry/exit criteria, and SLOs.
• Execute baseline, load, stress, soak, spike, and scalability tests.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and produce actionable findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and architects to support remediation.
• Set up and maintain performance test environments and data aligned with production.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.
