Syensqo seeks an Operational Performance Tech Lead to bridge manufacturing, digital, and data. You will drive data-driven solutions across a global industrial environment, enabling decision-making with industrial data platforms and modern architectures.

Lead cross-functional teams, govern analytics use cases, and ensure alignment with manufacturing priorities while collaborating with IT and data teams to ensure scalable, secure systems.

Qualificações

  • Degree in Engineering, Data Science, IT or related field.
  • 7+ years in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience in cross-functional project/program management.
  • Knowledge of data-driven performance improvement approaches.

We are looking for:

The Operational Performance Tech Lead is a key coordination role at the intersection of manufacturing, digital, and data. Acting as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, this role drives the implementation and governance of data-driven operational performance solutions across a global industrial environment.

The position focuses on enabling data-driven decision making by leveraging industrial data platforms, advanced analytics, and modern data architectures, while ensuring alignment with manufacturing priorities and operational excellence objectives.

We count on you for:

1. Program & Project Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and implement manufacturing use cases leveraging the enterprise Data Lake, ensuring requirements are captured into actionable solutions
  • Manage the evolution of tools and platforms that empower data-driven decision making across operations
  • Oversee data ingestion initiatives supporting Microsoft Fabric dashboarding, ensuring data availability, quality, and scalability
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (manufacturing, IT, data engineers, and external partners) to deliver projects effectively

2. Use Case Governance & Business Alignment

  • Act as the central coordinator for advanced analytics and digital use cases within manufacturing and operations
  • Govern and prioritize use cases related to:
  • Advanced Analytics
  • PI System (OSIsoft PI)
  • IP21 (Aspen InfoPlus.21)
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and reuse of solutions across sites and regions
  • Drive alignment between global digital strategy and site-level operational needs

3. Technical Leadership & Coordination

  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for technical aspects of operational performance platforms
  • Coordinate L2 support activities, ensuring effective issue resolution and system reliability
  • Guide and validate architecture and technical developments, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards
  • Collaborate closely with IT and data architecture teams to maintain robust, secure, and scalable system

4. Stakeholder Management

  • Interface with manufacturing leaders, plant stakeholders, and digital teams globally
  • Translate operational challenges into data and analytics solutions
  • Communicate progress, risks, and value delivery to senior stakeholders

You will bring:
Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Industrial preferred), Data Science, IT, or related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (chemical industry preferred)
  • Proven experience in project/program management within complex, cross-functional settings
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Data-driven performance improvement approaches

Preferred

  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools supporting operational decision-making
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric / Power BI ecosystem
  • Understanding of industrial data architectures and cloud environments
  • Experience in global/matrix organizations
Key Skills
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and operational challenges
  • Ability to bridge shopfloor reality and digital solutions

You will get:
  • The Portuguese annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: € 40,500 to € 60,500. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification, and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives
  • 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
  • Training platform for all employees
  • Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological)
